Common Symptoms of Breast Cancer
- Visible hard or soft lump
- Skin dimpling
- Skin irritation
- Armpit, breast, or nipple pain
- Thickening or lumping
- Skin texture changes
- Inverted or nipple retraction
- Nipple discharge
- Skin discoloration
- Redness or rash on at least a third of the breast
- Sudden changes in breast size
Breast Cancer Awareness - Get Involved
- Participate in Screenings: Encourage yearly mammograms for women over 40 (or earlier if high-risk).
- Donate and Fundraise: Support organizations that provide free mammograms and research, such as the National Breast Cancer Foundation or Susan G. Komen.
- Wear Pink: Show support and spark conversations about early detection.
- Educate: Learn about risk factors, such as age, obesity, alcohol use, and family history.
