Kelly Birt, MD
Biography
Dr. Birt is a native Texan who is proud to have grown up in the Houston area. While attending Bellaire High School, she first explored her desire to provide care for others while serving as an athletic trainer for the school's sports teams. She continued her career as a student trainer while graduating with honors from Texas Christian University.
At Texas Tech Medical School Dr. Birt discovered her passion for surgery which lead her to pursuing a residency in General Surgery at UTMB Galveston. After completing her residency in 2011, Dr. Birt has continued her goal of providing world class surgical care with a touch of southern hospitality to all of her patients in Houston.
When she isn't in her office or in the surgical suite, Dr. Birt can be found traveling to college football games, attending local plays with her husband, or cheering on her two sons at their baseball games.
